In light of the recent emergency declaration by President Trump in order to build a wall on the southern border, liberals have lost their minds and are trying every avenue possible to shut it down.
Democrats are angry that President Trump is delivering on his promises to the American people and will stop at nothing to obstruct him in every way possible.
The next step is that they are attempting to block the resolution in Congress. When Trump was asked by the press what he will do if Congress passes the resolution to block the funding, he stunned everyone.
“Will I veto it? 100%. And I don’t think it survives. We have too many smart people that want border security.”
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) stopped by Fox News on Friday to give his take on the situation and whether or not the obstructionist Democrats will be successful in stopping the border wall.
“Republicans will stand with the President to sustain his veto and it will be deader than dead.”
The host then asked Graham why Republicans would not be behind the president on this situation.
“Some people believe that the emergency declaration could lead to Democrats in the future doing the same thing on on other issues. That’s not my concern. My concern is a broken border. It is not a manufactured crisis and what upsets me so much is in 2013 almost all Democrats voted for $9 billion for border security, for barriers, as part of a $44 billion package. So to my Republican friends; it’s clear to me they are not recognizing what President Trump wants. They are not having the same attitude about barriers under President Trump as they did Obama. You’re basically marginalizing the Trump presidency by not standing by the president.”
Senator Susan Collins (Maine) has voiced her support for the resolution to block Trump’s border wall funding along with the Democrats.
“I don’t know what the vote situation will be in the Senate, nor do I know exactly what that resolution will say, but it is a privileged matter. That means that it will come before the Senate for a vote, and if it’s a clean disapproval resolution, I will support it.”
Lindsey Graham had some harsh words for her.
“This is the only path left for the president. He made a promise to secure the border. … In the Democrats’ world, there is no border crisis. … In President Trump’s world and my world there’s a real problem at the border and we’re going to deal with it.”
Senator Susan Collins should remember that she needs to do her job of supporting the president and protecting her constituents.
